Create and grow sustainable value by applying leading, technically excellent and differentiated approaches to managing mining assets and unlocking their unrealized potential, while being firmly committed to protecting the health, safety and wellbeing of our employees, the environment and the communities in which we work.
Artemis strives to be a full partner in the community and the region by actively engaging with the community, supporting community-building, through its donation and sponsorship program and through its work with the Community Liaison Committee, which was established by New Gold and continued on with Artemis. On acquiring the Blackwater Project, Artemis became party to and made a commitment to implementing the Participation Agreement, which New Gold had signed with Lhoosk’uz Dene Nation and Ulkatcho First Nation, the two Indigenous nations whose traditional territories overlap the mine site. More recently in May 2021, Artemis signed an impact benefits agreement with the Nazko First Nation in respect of the development of the Blackwater project. Artemis is committed to creating and maintaining strong relationships with Indigenous nations and to promoting Indigenous employment and business development.
As we work together to construct the Blackwater Mine and move into production, Artemis is committed to respecting and enhancing the economic and social aspects of the communities in which the Company operates.
