First Day with New Equipment

June 6, 2023

Being the first operator on a brand-new piece of heavy equipment is a unique experience for an equipment operator. Four of our Blackwater Mine employees recently enjoyed this opportunity.

Brayden Jack from Nazko First Nation, Scott Short from Prince George, Henry Lopez from Quesnel, and Len Stuart from Fraser Lake, were the first to operate a brand-new excavators and graders at our site.

Our earthworks fleet at the Blackwater Mine now contains approximately 35 individual pieces of equipment, including excavators, backhoe loaders, compactors, grader, telehandlers, and a fuel and lube truck.

There are more than 200 staff and contractors working on-site.
