National Indigenous Peoples Day
June 19, 2026
June 21 marks the 30th anniversary of National Indigenous Peoples Day—a time to recognize and celebrate the traditions, cultures, and contributions of First Nations, Inuit and Métis.
Blackwater Mine is located within the traditional territories of the Lhoosk’uz Dené Nation and Ulkatcho First Nation. Other components of Blackwater cross the traditional territories of Nadleh Whut’en First Nation, Saik’uz First Nation, Stellat’en First Nation and Nazko First Nation.
We are proud of the relationships we continue to build with Indigenous communities connected to Blackwater Mine. Join us recognizing National Indigenous History Month and celebrating National Indigenous Peoples Day.
